Sopressata Olive Cheese Salad Sandwich
This is a super fast, cold lunch I came up with on a trip through the local deli. I found a couple of loaves of this amazing olive chibata for sale (at a great price). The deli also had a 200 gram hunk of sopresatta on sale for half price, so I nabbed that up quickly!
The good ol’ gray matter got to work swiftly and produced this amazing idea for the cold sandwich salad you see before you.
I thought having it with my home made Ginger syrup soda would be a nice experience, the mild spiciness of the ginger working its gustatory magic as well as clensing the palatte from the fattienss of the salami. The whole grain mustard serves a similar function to clense the palatte.
200 g soft sopressata salami, cubed
200 g sharp chedder cheese, cubed
200 g green olives, seedless, chopped
1 Tbsp mustard, whole grain / seedy
3 Tbsp mayonnaise
2 small loaves chibata bread, sliced in half horizontally
Mix all ingredients together.
Smear on halves of chibata.
Enjoy… maybe with a homemade Ginger soda, like I am doing here. 🙂
